striped i-cord

Ah yes, my good knitterly deed of the week. How to make striped i-cord.
Using Lana D'Italia by Ornaghi for the striped 4 st i-cord example. Tan being MC, rose being CC.
With MC CO 4 sts.
Work two rows i-cord.
Work one row MC twisting the MC and CC around each other on the back side of the work for the first two or three sts.
On the last stitch give the yarn a little tug. Hold the working strand of the CC upwards pick up the working strand of the MC behind the CC (picking it the CC lets you better see what you are doing.
Continue in this fashion alternating MC and CC each row.
But what if you want larger stripes?
Same as above.
Be sure to bring the working yarn to the back of the yarn not being worked. OTherwise you will end up with a stray loop of yarn to the outside of the i-cord.
Either weave in ends with a darning/tapestry needle or use them to attach the i-cord to whatever it is you are making that requires it.
Easy enough.
