Chakalaka

Happy Spring! So I'm a day late, they went and changed the date on me. I fully intended to actually make a real post today (lot of crap going on out there which must be pointed in including the nutjob to the south threatening to attacks in Italy if we don't pay him for damages done by his own people due to a few cartoons) but was distracted by the calorie absorbing properties of cotton.

There are iPod cozies, tea cozies, cell phone cozies, *ahem* cozies so why not a chocolate cozy?

Any sane person loves chocolate. -Writer Bob Greene

There are four basic food groups: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and chocolate truffles. ~ Anonymous

Don't wreck a sublime chocolate experience by feeling guilty. Chocolate isn't like premarital sex. It will not make you pregnant. And it always feels good. --Lora Brody, author of Growing Up on the Chocolate Diet

'This guy found a bottle on the ocean, and he opened it and out popped a genie, and he gave him three wishes. The guy wished for a million dollars, and poof! There was a million dollars. Then he wished for a convertible, and poof! There was a convertible. And then, he wished he could be irresistible to all women... poof! He turned into a box of chocolates.' - Anonymous

Researchers have discovered that chocolate produces some of the same reactions in the brain as marijuana. The researchers also discovered other similarities between the two but can't remember what they are. - Matt Lauer

Strength is the capacity to break a chocolate bar into four pieces with your bare hands - and then eat just one of the pieces --Judith Viorst

uhhhhhhhhh I don't know, maybe Google is messin' with my mind.

according to this - http://www.space.com/spacewatch/050318_equinox.html

it might just be for North America.

Well, Happy Spring either way!

Very nice...thanks! I'll add it to my list of things to do. A weird question about Il Cestino...do you think it could be done with plastic bags? I'd like to try a basket with bags, and this looks like it might work. The idea comes from here: http://www.marloscrochetcorner.com/round%20plastic%20bag%20tote.html

oh yeah totally plastic bags would work. Mosaic/slip st. would firm it up enough you wouldn't need lining, just make sure your needle is small enough to give you a firm fabric and thanks :)

...only I'll have to fill mine with Snausage dog treats. Can't leave the chocolate out in a bowl or I'll eat -- er -- the dogs will eat -- every one of them.

Sure. It's spring here. We have snow flurries.

Well, now I'm ready for chocolate and I just finished breakfast! The little holders are adorable...I just think mine would always be empty :-)

Chocolate Cozy for wrapped pralines, a great idea!!!

That totally reminds me of your Bamboozelle on Knitty, which I tried to start last night, but with a much less infuriating stitch pattern. (Okay, so maybe my yarn was too splitty. But it was bamboo ...) I'll have to give this one a try instead. All that chocolate makes me feel better that my first day of spring was filled with snow.

Boom, chaklaka, boom! Sorry; I had to. Hmmm...I'm getting visions. Great. Like I needed something else on my list of "stuff I gotta make"! ;-> Thing Two says it would be a great swimming pool for her littlest cats.

Oh so pretty!

Geez, I missed it too - but that's ok, it was 22 degrees this morning. I don't think even the crocuses would agree with the calendar!
