Hand Maiden / Fleece Artist 20% off
A deal too good not to blog about - Red Bird Knits is having quite the sale - 20 % off of everything in celebration of their 5th year in business. Back in Jan I was a kvetchin' about the lack of online retailers that both carry Hand Maiden/FA and accept Paypal AND happens to have Silk Stream in the Mermaid's Hideaway color. So, didn't quite get that, I ordered the Sea Silk in Lupins.
ANYWAYS. It's a DEAL! And the prices are in Canadian so if you're thinking in Euros it's even a bigger deal! Last day of the sale is March 2nd.
While we're enabling, you must take a peek at Sundara's Yarn (spied by way of Eunny's post with a most gorgeous lace shawl! ). Those Multi-color hanks are jumping up and down screaming MEMEMEMEME. First zoomed in on the Black Lagoon color, then realized it's very similar to the Lady Godiva I used for Ella. Love the saturation of Cirque (at least on the monitor here) is belliiiiisima, and the Sunny Day silky merino , swoon worthy! Fine, a new entry on the Covet List.
Anybody know of a hand painter/dyer who does cotton by chance?

Enabler ;)
I just went to Red Bird's website and it says that all the Sea Silk is sold out except 1 skein of Vintage. Did everybody read your post and rush on over there and buy the place out? hmmmm.
I'll keep checking back there.

Oh, yeah. Just what I need -- more yarn. Ugh. Nope. I had to 'fess up about a yarn purchase the other night. No more for a while.

No more..what exactly. This giving up stuff! I gave up Lent for Lent *har har*

Oh, no, Lent has NOTHING to do with it! I'm not of the flavor that "does" Lent. It has everything to do with budget. I did, however, get some yarrrn in the mail today, but it's all earmarked for gifties for others. Check the blog soon for yarrrn pr0n....

Oddly enough the flavor that does Lent here doesn't 'give up' anything.
