Zibtwist Pt. 2
Part two. The Spinning of the Colors.
Images inside. Kiddo drafting and The Man spinning with the Frankenspindle. Have to wait for his next day off so we can get some quality silk action a goin' on. Can't make my Fantabulous Thingy with only two little hanks now can I?
I don't think so either.
First things first, refresh Kiddo on the drafting technique.

Searching for fluffy bumps.

The Man and Frankenspindle are ready to go.

Draftees.

Deep concentration, SpinFu is a happenin'.

Mommy look! Mommy look! MOOMMMMMY TAKE MY PICTURE!

And we have yarn.

Next up, the yarnography.

And so it begins. Hanky-panky with The Man. Child labor. Before long you will NEED a spindle, a real spindle. Mini, midi, maxi weights? You'll decide you need them all -- the right tool for the job, right? Funny words like niddy noddy and nostipinne and lazy kate will enter your vocabulary. Silk hankies, then maybe some caps, and ooooh, you'll need to try that cashmere-tussah blend. The fiber stash is born. Taking up space right next to your yarn stash. Then you'll wonder about a wheel. You don't want a wheel, you don't need a wheel, you don't have space for a wheel, you don't have time to spin, but then you see that cute little thing that takes up only a square foot of space and you think of all the beautiful yarn you could make, and knit with, and give away, and oh the possibilities. It's all over Zib.
