zuppa

You see, the thing I dig about zuppa, besides being tasty, is it gives you time to swatch.
Amy, baciamo le mani.
Talk about knocking your socks off! Lizard Ridge, gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. I'll never make it (I know, never say never, if and when I grow a couple more pairs of arms ala Durga it'll be at the top of my list). Version 1, those colors whisper sweet nothings, no, scream sweet nothings. Only one square at a time though. One square a month, it could be done round the time I finish Hubby's spindlespun sweater.
Tamarah is lovely. Red Herring! just think! Your socks can match your bag!and visa versa, if you are the sock sort, that is.
The knit that is currently being swatched er was swatched and the first page of instructions re-calculated to suit the yarn gauge is Lucie. That will be my Fall/Winter new garment project. I still have 6 or 8 inches on my not so stripey Essential Stripe. Here's hoping the "Other Yarn Guy" has more of the black. I do NOT want to add a third color to the black and red that is goin' on. Here's hoping that the LOYM appears once again while I'm yarnhoping. More hopes, that I have not one but two FOs for ME for the winter. Which will come. Sooner than wanted *mumble*.
Lucie, Lucie, (I keep typing Lucky and have to backspace) Lucie, my dear, I am not a hooker. Prov COing until I find an alternative that convinces me that isn't ribbing and doesn't annoy me, not that crochet annoys, I just don't do it. Know what I mean? Swatched up a red cotton made of loosely spun threads. It looks less spun and more of a left out in the wind long enough to twist a bit sort of yarn. Splitty Supreme.

A strong red, on the blue side of the red teeter totter. I dig it. No idea if I have enough yarn. If wonder if I weigh the swatch if I can calculate if I'll have enough yarn to make the long sleeves. Swatch weight = swatch width x height = S. Tot sweater dimensions/S = N. Weight of one hank = H x tot hanks/N should tell me if I'm close. Hey, I'm on my second Moretti, it sounds right to me.
Mentioned to The Man that the NEW KNITT! NEW KNITTY! was up. Pulled it up to show him the designs. After the first three sweaters he asks "any men's?" I Show him Avast. He highly approves. It is now on the multiple arms list as well. Kiddo hasn't seen it yet. Though she did admire the Lucie print out and asked if I couldn't just make her a little one. In fuchsia.
Perfect timing, something for everyone. Casa Zib digs it.
