Frilly & Stellina

Winter has it's priorities. And Kiddos who need pretty things to wear on the walk to school on those cooooooooold mornings.

Since she was the one who was to wear the hat and scarf, I told her she could pick out the yarn. To the stash we went. Raiding the stash with Kiddo is not a quick thing but it is rather amusing. She had a suggestion for each and every ball and hank we considered, and those which are passed over in her search for The Yarn. Neverending source of inspiration she is but I don't think I will be making knit sweaters, scarves, socks and whatnot for her stuffed animals and Barbie doll any time soon. Once The Yarn was in hand she snagged a couple stitch books (the only two I have) and went to peruse them. Half an hour later she returned with a some sketches of exactly what she wanted.
It's like the girls in Francia wear! And it has to look like so and like that and and and. Of course I had to knit it for her.

The Frilly scarflette pattern is available for download in the TGB Complimentaries here - Frilly Scarflette. If using something other than non-worsted weight yarn, yardage of course will vary but it's easy enough to adjust. Work the increase section for an inch, do the tie openings, then continue the increase rows until the piece measures approx 4inches/10 cm wide, work main section to desired length then decrease rows, then ruffles. See, easy.
