Clapotis - Cairo

It was love at first sight. First the fiber, I'd picked it up at a hole-in-the-wall LYS I stumbled across one day in August. Cairo by Lana Gatto 100% mercerized Egyptian Cotton, knits up like a dream with very low split factor. Subtle sheen and the way the colors play in this particular pattern is most pleasing. And I just happened to have a freshly ball of it here next to the computer when the fall issue of knitty came out and Shazam! Clapotis...the yarn... it was just meant to be.
