The Bamboozelle design is suitable for many types of fibers. The thicker the fiber the less need there is for dealing with the "persuasion" part and lining. I had picked up a spool of 1cm wide leatherette thinking it would make a fab bag. Never got around to the bag but did make one groovy little basket. No lining necessary as it stands up all by itself. Took approx 75 yards of 1 cm wide leatherette. Starting with 6.5mm needles working down to 5.0 needles. Cast on number decreased to 70 sts (including 2 sts for seaming). Bamboozelle pattern.
