My first pair of mittens, I will be kind, I will not post the actual 'first' mitten I'd made before these, it just wouldn't be right. The kiddo needed mittens, I didn't really feel like walking to the market in the cold and rain so I thought why not?? There must be something round that is easy and fairly painless for a first time mitten knitter! And there was, on Spin A Yarn's site. Each took about 40 minutes to knit up, made with that red acrylic I used on Melly's Red Sweater and left over varigated wool from my a capella, since it was my first pair, I was looking to use up scraps. They coordinate with absolutely nothing Melly wears yet she loves them. Works for me.
