Cestino.

Knit using 5 5mm DPNs, if you have short circs knit the body on those and switch to DPNs for the bottom, or if you don't have short circs you can knit flat as I did then carefully stitch up the side after you finish the bottom, with DPNs. Holding 3 strands of mystery cotton from Gozo and 3 strands of Samba . I'd shipped off a pack of the Samba in a yarn swap, a few days later located 3 more balls in the same colorway so picked them up, just in case, the colors remind me of gum I used to get as a kid. Finished measurements: width 7in height 7in.

Materials

I used Samba by Ornaghi Filati - 55% Egyptian Cotton 45% Acrylic. 3 50gr. 3 balls (1 3/4 oz) - 85m (95yds) Color: 81 and the same amount of a creamy mystery cotton I picked up in Gozo.
1 pair 5mm needles
or short 5mm circs if you prefer

Yarn needle or crochet hook to weave in ends
